Mewariskan Keberpihakan Lewat Musik: Suatu Interpretasi Teologis yang Berpihak Kepada Penyandang Disabilitas terhadap Lagu “Flyâ€

Abstract


Musik gereja dalam agama Kristen adalah salah satu perangkat yang digunakan untuk menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai kepada umat. Akan tetapi, nilai yang diwariskan dalam musik cenderung diarahkan kepada relasi manusia dengan Tuhan (penyembahan), sehingga keberpihakan kepada isu sosial seperti keberadaan para penyandang disabilitas tidak mendapat tempat. Hal ini berbeda produk budaya populer, seperti musik pop yang giat menunjukan keberpihakannya kepada para penyandang disabilitas, semisal lagu Flykarya Avril Lavine. Makalah bertujuan untuk memperlihatkan keberpihakan musik pop kepada para penyandang disabilitas, sehingga komunitas religius seperti gereja dapat belajar untuk menjadi komunitas yang berpihak kepada penyandang disabilitas.
