Pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Mahasiswa (Studi Kasus Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Sosiologi FIPK IAKN Ambon)

Abstrak

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the influence of lecturers’ leadership style on students’ learning motivation in the Sociology Education Study Program. The background of this research is based on the low participation and learning motivation of students, which is suspected to be influenced by lecturers’ leadership styles that tend to be monotonous and less interactive. The research method employed is a quantitative approach with a simple random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, and simple linear regression with SPSS version 20. The results show that all instruments are valid and reliable. The simple linear regression analysis indicates that leadership style has a positive and significant effect on students’ learning motivation, amounting to 14.8%. This means that leadership style plays a role in influencing students’ learning motivation, but it is not the main factor in determining it. The implications of this study highlight the need to develop more effective, communicative, and participatory leadership styles, while also considering other factors such as interest and talent, facilities, and social support to enhance students’ learning motivation in the learning process.
