About the Journal

KENOSIS: Journal of Theological Studies (Print ISSN: 2460-6901; Online ISSN: 2656-4483) is published by the State Christian Institute of Ambon (Institut Agama Kristen Negeri Ambon/IAKN Ambon), Indonesia. The journal is dedicated to promoting scholarly research and academic creativity through the publication of original research and critical analytical studies in theology and related disciplines. KENOSIS provides a platform for researchers, academics, and practitioners to disseminate innovative ideas and contribute to the advancement of theological scholarship.

Pursuant to the Decree of the Minister of Research and Technology/National Research and Innovation Agency of the Republic of Indonesia No. 85/M/KPT/2020, dated 1 April 2020, KENOSIS: Journal of Theological Studies was accredited at SINTA 5.

On 15 October 2024, based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia No. 177/E/KPT/2024, KENOSIS: Journal of Theological Studies was granted an upgraded accreditation, advancing from SINTA 5 to SINTA 3. This achievement reflects the journal's continuous commitment to enhancing the quality of scholarly publications, editorial standards, and research excellence.

KENOSIS: Journal of Theological Studies welcomes the submission of original manuscripts from a wide range of theological sub-disciplines. Submitted manuscripts must be original, must not have been previously published, and must not be under consideration for publication in any other journal.

Authors whose manuscripts have been accepted for publication in KENOSIS are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) or Publication Fee of IDR 300,000 per article. This fee supports the entire publication process, including editorial management, copyediting, layout and typesetting, and the official publication of the article. Payment is required only after the manuscript has been formally accepted and prior to its publication.

Authors are expected to prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the journal's Author Guidelines and manuscript formatting requirements. Every submission undergoes a rigorous double-blind peer review process that emphasizes originality, scholarly significance, methodological rigor, and contribution to the advancement of theological studies.
