ANAK ALLAH DAN DOSA: SEBUAH KAJIAN TEOLOGIS 1 YOHANES 3: 9

Abstract

I John 3: 9 reveals that everyone who is born of God does not sin anymore. This verse emphasizes a value for Christians that individuals who claim to believe in God and become his followers will not sin again. This paper aims to explain the relationship between the children of God and sin that should not be done again based on 1 John 3: 9. This paper uses the principles of exegesis by Hasan Sutanto, namely text analysis, analysis of Bible content, historical or background analysis, literary analysis, context analysis, word analysis, and grammatical analysis. The findings in this paper reveal two main things, namely (1) The children of God will not sin. (2) The children of God come from God. (3) The implications of this verse are divided into two forms, namely theological implications that emphasize the relationship between humans (children of God) and sin (which should not be done again). Practical implications that refer to real steps that should be realized by believers to not sin and live in truth.
