Abstrak

This study aims to analyze the information-seeking behavior of students in the Christian Religious Education Evaluation course and to explore students’ information seeking behavior to broaden and deepen their understanding of Christian Religious Education Evaluation. This study employs a qualitative method. Data was collected from sixth-semester students enrolled in the Christian Religious Education Evaluation course at the State Christian Institute of Palangka Raya. The research findings reveal that the implementation of Ellis’s theory of information-seeking behavior has not been fully realized. Students still lack the ability to distinguish between quality references by relying solely on the internet. This study expects students to be able to recognize and improve their information-seeking strategies. By understanding stages such as starting, chaining, browsing, differentiating, and extracting, students can optimize the information-seeking process, thus saving time and resources.
